Frequently Asked Questions
We hope you love what you see on our website and are as excited as we are to have you come visit us! Though we know you’re probably a pro at shopping, bridal shopping can be a little bit different so here are answers to our most common questions:
Q. Are appointments required?
Appointments are always preferred to ensure that we can give you our full attention. You are welcome to walk in too but if we are with another bride, please be patient with us.
Q. Help my wedding is in a few months, can I still get a dress?
Absolutely! We have a lot of dress options that can be ordered from available stock for a quick arrival. Our samples are always available for purchase at a discount and our clearance department offers so many options that you can take your gown home that day!
Q. What is the price range of your gowns?
Our gowns will range between $499-$2,499. Today’s average bridal gown cost is between $1,200-$1,700. Remember our samples can be purchased at a discount and we have a large clearance section with gowns marked between $199 – $999. We love to have pop up sample sales too, so you never know what may be on special when you arrive!
Q. What should I wear?
We want you to wear what you are comfortable in such as a strapless bra or a body shaper (if you plan to wear one). Underwear are required for health reasons. You have the choice of who you wish to assist you, whether it is a consultant, mom or your closest friend. If you have an idea of the shoe style or heel height you might wear for your big day, bring something similar along. It will allow your consultant to give you recommendations on your hem needs.
Q. Do you have my size?
We have a wide variety of gowns in every size ranging from 6-30! With over 80 sample gowns in size 18 and up we have the largest selection of plus size gowns you can find.
Q. How we size
Once you have found the dress, our bridal consultants will take your measurements. *Measurements are not taken until order is ready to be placed to assure truest fit* Bridal designers make their dresses in standard sizing with a standard size chart. This chart varies by designer. We order the size that is closest to your measurements. To give your dress the final perfect fit, alterations are most likely needed. A different size may be requested, however if you wish to do this you must sign off acknowledging this was your choice, and not based on your measurements. Once the gown arrives it is yours and not returnable. The cost of alterations is not included.
Q. Who does my alterations?
While Nebraska Bridal does not provide in-house alterations, we have various preferred seamstresses throughout the state who we recommend to our brides. We are not affiliated with any specific seamstress. The final decision is yours. In choosing to not offer an in-house seamstress, we believe this will lower alterations costs for our brides.
Q. How do I pay for my gown?
Nebraska Bridal requires 50% down at the time your order is placed, with balance due within 30 days of when your gown arrives. Your gown is custom ordered so your payment is nonrefundable and can be paid by major credit card, check or cash.
Q. What is your return policy?
All gowns are custom ordered. Once an order is placed the designers do not accept returns. Therefore, all sales are final on all purchases, payments and special orders, including clearance and samples.
